As part of the brand refresh for City of Marion Motiv undertook a large scale signage audit which included city wide directional street signage, boundary markers, building identity signage and illuminated display signage.
Signage throughout the City of Marion was inconsistent in style and laborious in production and maintenance. Planning was undertaken to improve both the design approach and the methodology of fabrication and installation. From a design and identity perspective we felt the intrinsic triangularity of the logo could be carried through to create an integrated signage configuration unique to Marion.
Production methodology and consistent standards were set out in a comprehensive signage manual. Colour coding and stylised imagery were introduced for Parks & Reserves and boundary marker signs to create distinctive ranges of signs which were easily manufactured and installed throughout the city.
